April 24 2010 FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2010 is next Saturday

Next Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, and I'm sure you are asking yourself, "what are you going to be doing on that day?", well if you live in Los Angeles, come and join us for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2010, as we team up with are friends over at Comic Impact and The Hero Initiative with comic super stars with J.T. Krul (Justice League: Rise of Arsenal) , Joe Benitez (Green Hornet: Kato) and Dan Panosian (X-Factor Forever) Comic Impact will be there, and be doing a live show from the store.

So join us Free Comic Book Day, on May 1st 2010 8:00am -8:00pm, for a FCBD sale, snacks, a raffle and of course, there will be free comics galore! Help us fight illiteracy with comics!

April 14th 2010 Barry Allen is back with a FREE ring

Hey everyone two books we are really excited about are Flash #1, which you will get a snazzy Flash ring with your purchase and Siege Capatain America #1. Also Brightest Day #0 comes out this week. So make sure these three books are on your list of books to buy.

For those of you who don't know, Free Comic Book Day is May 1st. And yes we will be having a whole day of fun. We will be having a huge Blowout Sale, JT Krul, Joe Benitez and Dan Panosian will be doing signing and sketches in the afternoon, a raffle with some great prizes and lots of yummy snacks including some Frozen Crush. March 31st 2010 Nerf Day and Blackest Night # 8

You never know what crazy adventure you are going to start when you come to the Galaxy of Comics. Anything can and usually does happen. If you are looking for something new to do, why not try one of these options?

Hard day at work? School giving you a headache? Just need to blow off some steam? Well, Wednesday isn't just New Comic Day at the GOC, it's also "Nerf Day" You can come in and shoot Warren with a Nerf gun, I swear you feel like a new person when you do. It's a fun way to get your endorphins going and help fight the stressful days we all have. Plus all the running and jumping is a good workout which is great for the heart. You see, coming to the Galaxy of Comics isn't just a great way to talk with other comic fans but you have fun and it's good for you. I know I am always looking for a fun way to be healthy and what could possibly be more fun than comics?

If you are a movie fan you could always stop by Saturday afternoons (between 3-6pm) for "Movie Talk." A group of customers come in and discuss new releases and old favorites. They don't always agree but they have a lot of fun. Stop on buy, I bet you come away looking for a recommended movie or re watching one you haven't seen in a while. So stop on in, say hi to Warren and teach him a thing or two about your favorite movie.

January 28th 2010 Second Annual Grand Opening Sale / Len Wein Signing

We are happy to announce our “Second Annual Grand Opening Sale.” An in store party celebrating the first year in business will be held on the 6th, from 7pm – 12am, another way to show appreciation to our customers.

Ending the week will be a signing on February 10th from 2-6 pm with, Wolverine Creator, Len Wein. Wein is currently working on the critically acclaimed show “Human Target.” He is also the creator of such characters as, Swamp Thing, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Nekron, Human Fly and was the editor of Watchmen, which was made into a hit movie in 2009.

The 50% off customer appreciation sale will take place February 3-10. All items in the store are affected by the sale, including, “Hold Bags,” Trade Paperbacks, Hardcovers, figures, statues and back issues. Consignments are not affected by sale.

January 2th 2010 Happy New Year from the GOC

Thank you everyone for joining us at our New Year's Eve party. We had a great turn out and more fun than we could possibly say. We know, 2010 will be a big "Two Thumbs Up!"
